Switching
The data is why you have not moved.
Years of shops, products and prices sit inside something you have stopped liking. Nobody wants to type that in again, and no demo ever addresses it. Here is exactly how the move works — before you pay anything.
How the move goes
Tell us what you are on now
Tally, Marg, Busy, Vyapar, a spreadsheet, or a set of notebooks. Each one exports differently and some barely export at all — we will tell you honestly which category you are in before you spend any time on it.Send the product and shop list
An export in whatever format your software produces, or the spreadsheet you actually work from. It does not need cleaning up first — we will come back with the questions rather than guess at your data.Prices, units, pack sizes, tax rates and opening stock all come across.
We load it and check it with you
Your workspace is set up with your real catalogue and your real shops. We go through it with you once, because a product list that is nearly right is worse than one you know is right.Run one route in parallel
Keep your current system running. Put one salesman, or one counter, on Mulberry Sales for two weeks and compare the day-end numbers against what you would have got the old way. This is the step nobody regrets and everybody wants to skip.
Switch when the numbers agree
Not before. If the two do not match, that gap is worth understanding — sometimes it is us, and sometimes it is the first honest look at something that was always wrong.
What comes across
- Shops, with addresses, phone numbers and beats
- Products, with categories, units and pack sizes
- Selling prices and cost prices
- Tax rates per product
- Opening stock per inventory
What stays where it is
- Historical invoices and closed bills
- Outstanding customer balances
- Ledgers, journal entries and your books
- GST returns already filed
- Anything your accountant needs to keep
This is deliberate. Loading years of closed bills into a system that does not file your returns adds no value and distorts every report from day one — and an imported opening balance would show up as revenue you never earned.
You can leave whenever you like
A full workspace export is included from the Growth plan up, and it goes to your own Google Drive in one click. If you ever want out, everything you put in comes with you.
We would rather say that up front than have it be the thing you discover you cannot do in two years.
Run both for a fortnight
The safest switch is a boring one. Keep your current system, put one route on this, and let the two sets of numbers argue with each other for two weeks. It costs you nothing — the trial takes no card.
Switching questions
Will my existing data come across?
Shops, products, prices, units and opening stock carry across from an export or a spreadsheet. Send us the file and we load it into your workspace before the trial starts, so you are testing with your own catalogue rather than sample data.
What does not come across?
Historical invoices and accounting entries stay where they are. There is no benefit to re-importing years of closed bills into a system that will not produce your returns, and doing so would distort every report from day one. Your old software stays readable for as long as you keep it.
How long does it take?
Most workspaces are ready within a day or two of receiving a clean product and shop list. The slow part is never the loading — it is deciding what your product list should actually look like now, which is worth doing once.
Do I have to stop using my current software?
No, and you should not on day one. Run one van or one counter on Mulberry Sales for two weeks alongside what you have. Compare the day-end numbers. Switch when they agree and you trust it.
What if I decide not to switch?
Nothing happens. The trial needs no card, so there is nothing to cancel. Ask for an export of anything you entered and it is yours.
Can I get my data out later?
Yes. A full workspace export is included on the Growth plan and above, and it can be pushed to your own Google Drive in one click. Data you cannot get out is a trap, not a feature.
Send us the list. We'll tell you what it takes.
An export, a spreadsheet, or a photograph of the page you actually work from. We will come back with what carries across, what does not, and how long it will take — before you commit to anything.
