How to create a shop in Mulberry Sales
A shop is a customer your vans sell to. Add it once in the office, and every salesman can find it and bill it.
Steps
Step 1: In the menu, click Shops. You see every shop with owner, phone, balance, last sale and status.
Step 2: Click Add Shop.
Step 3: Type the shop name, the owner's name and the owner's mobile number.
Step 4: Type the address and choose the route the shop is on.
Step 5: Set the Line of credit: the most this shop can owe you, for example 20,000 rupees.
Step 6: Tick Freezer outlet if you gave this shop a freezer.
Step 7: Save the shop. Salesmen now see it in the phone app and can bill it.
Good to know
- Shop not paying? Click Hold. Salesmen cannot bill a held shop until you remove the hold.
- Click Edit to change the credit limit or any detail, and Open to see the shop's own page: what it bought, paid and owes, with a statement to download as PDF or Excel.
- Shop paid at the office? Click Record Payment on its page.
- Shops a salesman adds from the phone wait under Pending approval. Check the details and approve each one.
- Many shops at once? Import them from Excel instead.
Questions
Can a salesman create a shop from the phone?
Yes. The salesman requests it from the phone (More, Shop requests) with the name, owner and a pinned location, and the office approves it under Shops, Pending approval. It can be billed once approved.
What happens when a shop reaches its credit limit?
With Auto-hold switched on in Settings, billing stops for that shop until it pays down its balance, and starts again by itself. You can also hold a shop by hand.
