How to set a shop's credit limit and stop billing a shop that does not pay
The Credit record shows how much credit is out with your shops, how old it is, and who is past their limit.
Steps
Step 1: In the menu, click Credit.
Step 2: Read the top: Outstanding (all money shops owe, old dues included), Over limit, Overdue 30 days plus and On hold.
Step 3: Check the age bar: the bigger the 30-plus-days part, the more you need to chase.
Step 4: Use the buttons to see only shops that owe, are over the limit, overdue or on hold.
Step 5: For each shop you see credit used, the limit, what they owe, their oldest bill, and Headroom (how much more credit they can take).
Step 6: To change a limit, click Limit, type the new limit and save.
Step 7: Shop not paying for a long time? Click Hold. Salesmen cannot bill it until you remove the hold.
Good to know
- Switch on Auto-hold in Settings to hold shops over their limit automatically, and release them when they pay.
