Gofrugal or a van sales app: what to compare before you decide
Gofrugal is a full distribution ERP with a sales-rep app. What its own pages describe, what a van day needs on top, five questions to ask any vendor, and when Gofrugal is the better choice.

Short answer
Gofrugal is a full ERP for wholesale distribution with its own sales-rep app. If your reps take orders and bill from the office, it may be all you need. If they carry stock on vans, ask it — and us — to show a van loaded, billed from without signal, unloaded and closed, and get every price in writing.

Gofrugal sells retail, restaurant and distribution software, with an edition built for wholesale distribution. If you are choosing between it and a van app, this is what to compare.
We sell a van sales app, so read this knowing who wrote it. Everything below about Gofrugal comes from Gofrugal’s own website, with the link beside it, read on 19 October 2026. Where one of their pages does not mention something, we say that page does not mention it — not that Gofrugal cannot do it.
What Gofrugal says it is
Their distribution page is headed “Distribution management software for wholesale distribution businesses”, with links to scheme management, credit limits, inventory and an accounting module. That is an ERP: the office, the godown and the books in one system.
For the field there is a sales-force app headed “Take orders, create receipts and bill on the go!”. It describes orders with real-time stock, offers and focus products, receipts and billing on the go, the outstanding balance while taking an order, a dashboard of the rep's own day.
On price, we cannot quote them. Their pricing page said, when we read it: “We apologize for the inconvenience, but our pricing page is currently undergoing maintenance.” Around the empty table it lists a 30-day free trial, a one-time licence with yearly renewal, or a yearly subscription, Tally accounting integration. Ask their team for the full cost in writing, for your number of salesmen and phones.
The question that decides it: does the stock travel?
The sales-force app page does not mention vans or vehicles, loading or unloading stock, routes or beats, billing without internet, GPS or attendance, an end-of-day cash close. That may simply be how the page is written. But those are exactly the things a van distributor’s day turns on, so see them working before you decide:
- Loading. Stock leaves the godown count when it goes onto a particular van, not when it is sold.
- Billing from the van, without signal. The salesman can only bill what is on his van, and the bill saves even on a ghat road.
- Old dues at the door. He collects last week’s balance against the right bill while he is standing in the shop.
- Unloading. What comes back is counted in, van by van, and the difference shows the same night.
- The day’s close. Each man’s cash matches what the app says he collected, with UPI kept separate.
When Gofrugal is the better choice
- You want one system for the office, the godown and the accounts. Gofrugal is an ERP with an accounting module. We are not: we keep sales, stock and cash, and give your accountant Excel.
- You also run retail counters or several branches. Gofrugal sells retail software too; one vendor for both can be simpler.
- Your reps take orders rather than carry stock. The sales-force app is described around orders, stock visibility and receipts, which is exactly that day.
- You need e-invoices or e-way bills from the same software. We generate neither. Ask Gofrugal whether your edition does.
When a van sales app pays for itself
- Vans leave full and come back with gaps nobody can explain. Van-wise loading, unloading and a day close per salesman is what finds them.
- You want to be running in a day. We set up your shops and products and train your salesmen at your godown — how starting works.
- You want the price on the page. Growth is ₹2,499 a month for up to 5 salesmen, 2 inventories, 5 vans included (up to 10), and the first year including setup is ₹67,490. Hiring another salesman inside the plan does not change it.
Using both is possible
Some distributors keep an ERP in the office and run the vans on a van app, with sales moved across as a file. If you go that way, check that nothing is typed twice. Here is how that works with the software you already have.
Five questions to ask any vendor, us included
- Show me a van being loaded, and the godown stock after.
- Bill a shop with the phone in flight mode.
- What is the total for my salesmen and phones, in writing, including implementation, renewals and travel for on-site training?
- How long from signing to my first van billed?
- How do I take all my data out, and in what format?
